Originally published in 1939 - 40, this book is a veritable resource of leading epigraphical records, offering a catalogue of sorts into the history of the state of Karnataka, spanning two millennia. This book has now been republished (in 2018) and has been translated into Kannada (by Dr H S Gopala Rao under the title of 'Karnatakada Itihasada Akaragalu') in 2020.
